The restored vehicle was featured in a six page article in the February 2014 issue of the French car magazine Auto Retro. A previous owner was Claude Mapeu of Marciac, Gers and the car was reportedly owned by Jean Marais early in its life. Current owner of this car is Philippe Leneveu. The owner in his distictively painted car with its RAF markings. While the car was being driven to Ohio from California it was struck by lightning on the door just above the roundel.Chassis No.1231 is owned by Tom Householder.

A past owner appears to be John Hegmann of Florida - vehicle reported scrapped by Tom Householder.

John Stobba acquired Chassis No.1237 in 2008 from a family friend, Pat Semple, who unfortunately was ill and has since passed on.
Pat Semple, a well known local club racer was in the process of building the Doretti into a vintage race car. Another previous owner was Terry Cocking of southern California.
