2013 Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance

Chassis No.1208 Tommy and Jane Entenza's 1954 Swallow Doretti was first in the Rare English Marques Class at the 2013 Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance held Sunday, November 3rd at the Port Royal Golf Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Another competitive event which the car was entered this year was the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance which is an automotive charitable event held each year during the second weekend in March at the Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida.

2014 Classic Sports Sunday, Mar-A-Lago Club

Chassis No.1208 Tommy and Jane with their Doretti were among some fine examples of many marques on show at the Classic Sports Sunday event held 26th January 2014, at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Tommy Entenza had just turned 16 in the 1950s when he got a gleaming white Doretti with a black leather interior. He was so proud of his new sports car that he kept a pictorial scrapbook which he still owns, but he sold the car when he graduated. Over the years he has owned many other cars but always dreamed of owning another Doretti. So in 2005 he bought another Doretti, (Chassis No.1208) black with a dark red interior.

Chassis No.1208 Chassis No.1208 was originally registered in Glasgow as OGD 316 and owned at some point by James Love before being exported to Canada.
The next reported owner was Jim Alford of Orangeville, Ontario who moved to British Columbia, took the car with him and sold it in 1989.
Robin Mullet of Victoria, BC. acquired No.1208 and who eventually sold the car to William Spohn of Vancouver.
An American restorer, Lynn Martin of Post Falls, Idaho, then bought the car and completely rebuilt it to concours condition.
In July 2000 the car was sold it to collector Thomas Leavitt of Newton, Massachusetts.
Then in May 2009 Tommy Entenza of Jacksonville, Florida bought No.1208 and commenced to minutely perfect every detail.
