Ardell Brown owned the second production Doretti from 1979 when he bought the car from Ken Halderman of Salt Lake City, Utah. Ken had inherited the car from his brother who purchased it new in Los Angeles.
According to some pictures in Ardell Brown's possession the car was originally painted White but subsequently Ardell had the Doretti re-painted Dark Green and then finally the current Bright Red.
