Italia Nr.315 was bought sight-unseen from a California widow in 1995, by Dennis Brammer of Vancouver Island, Canada. After its purchase he regularly drove the car in Victoria and then had the car flown to the continent before taking it to the Channel Islands for the 1999 "Centenary of the Car on the Islands" extravaganza and to other UK events.
After a 3,000-mile road trip touring the Channel Islands and England, he was visiting the Coventry Transport Museum when his car came to the attention of the museum staff. "There were more people outside the museum looking at my car than there were visitors inside the museum," says Brammer. With a little persuasion, he and his wife, Carol, graciously lent the rare Italia to the museum for 10 years. (Info & photo: The Province)
